Warna itne to marasim thai ke aate jate
Shikwa e zulmat e shab se to behtar tha
Apne hisay ki koi shama jalate jate
Kitna asaan tha tere hijar mai marna jaana
Phir bhi ik umer lagi jaan se jate jate
Jashan e maqtal hi na barpa howa warna hum
Paa bajalon hi sahi nachte gaate jate
Uski wo jane usay pas e wafa tha ke na tha
Tum apni taraf se to faraz nibhate jate
